The EicUt is a demanding anticyclical ultramarathon that begins and ends in Heilbad Heiligenstadt. The route takes you through the town and over the heights of the Thuringian Basin with views of Scharfenstein Castle, before winding through various forests and villages, along lakes and over challenging trails. In total, approximately 1500 meters of elevation gain are accumulated over the Dün, Sommerberg, Kanstaein, and Zinkspitze.
